Terms of Entry
The competition is free to enter and is open to anyone aged 18 or over. Submissions can be made either by individuals or by small teams.
Submissions must be received before 17.00 (British Summer Time) on 15 September 2020. Applicants assume all responsibility for ensuring their submission arrives before the stated deadline. Submissions received later than the stated deadline will not be considered.
Submissions must be emailed to submit@museumsforclimateaction.org and must include the requested information in a single PDF, which must not exceed 10MB.
There is a limit of one submission per individual or team.
The Competition Organisers reserve the right to extend the deadline should the need arise. This will be advertised clearly on the website and via social media.
No member of the jury may participate in the competition or assist Applicants with their submissions in any capacity.
Applicants shall not communicate in any manner with members of the jury regarding the competition prior to the public announcement of the winners.
By entering this competition, Applicants declare that their submissions do not infringe on any existing copyright, patent or other intellectual property rights.
By virtue of making a submission, Applicants acknowledge and agree that the Competition Organisers will be able to use any of the materials submitted for all reasonable purposes, including but not limited to promotion, dissemination, publication and exhibition. Applicants will otherwise retain all intellectual property rights over their work. The Competition Organisers will use reasonable efforts to credit or attribute work to Applicants, but shall bear no responsibility for any failure to do so or for any unauthorised use by a third party.
Following the submission deadline, a panel made up of the jury and chaired by the Competition Organisers will judge the submissions and select (in their absolute discretion) eight entries, who or which shall each receive £2500.001 to develop their proposals for display in an exhibition at Glasgow Science Centre.
The eight successful Applicants will be announced on the competition website and through the media in late 2020.
Work developed by the eight shortlisted Applicants cannot be implemented or developed by the Competition Organisers without further involvement or consent from the Applicants.
The Competition Organisers reserve the right to cancel the competition at any stage.
The Competition Organisers reserve the right in their discretion to amend these Terms at any time.
